Lunar Orbiter took pictures of Vikram in sleeping mode, will wake up on September 27

Having completed its work on the moon, the rover Pragyan has taken shelter again in the lander Vikram. The rover Pragyan is in sleeping mode for now, searching for the existence of several minerals on the moon. NASA's Lunar Orbiter (LRO) discovered that wisdom. The image was sent by NASA satellite.

Meanwhile, ISRO released a three-dimensional image of Vikram last Tuesday. According to information provided by ISRO, rover Pragyan is currently ‘sleeping’ in the darkness and extreme cold of the moon. Again, on September 22, an attempt will be made to wake it up. If Pragyan responds to that then Pragyan will start working again.

The picture of Vikram was taken by Orbiter dated 27th August. A bright area is visible around the image. NASA says that the bright part is smoke from the rocket and dust from the lunar soil. NASA's Lunar Orbiter is named LRO. It is controlled from the Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland. From there the scientists informed about the existence of Vikram.

ISRO had earlier informed that Vikram will be in sleeping mode after the solar battery is exhausted. Progyan will be inside it. However, the lander's receivers will remain on. It is expected to wake up again on September 22. At night, the temperature of the moon becomes minus 200 degrees. Such temperature extremes can destroy payloads. So they are closed.
